JOB SUMMARY:
Enhance the integration of information technology into the curriculum.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist students and staff in using technology in the classroom.
- Assist faculty with developing and implementing information technology-rich lessons that meet core curriculum and grade level information technology competencies.
- Attend training opportunities with an emphasis in technology integration.
- Keep current on educational technology trends and strategies.
- Troubleshoot and repair student Chromebooks as issues occur.
- Assist in the development of student Chromebook repair procedures and communicate the procedures to school staff and students.
- Manage student Chromebooks in the Google Admin Console to ensure that they are in the correct organizational unit.
- Assist in the enrollment of new student Chromebooks and the collection and distribution of Chromebooks.
- Serve as the district technology committee and disseminate relevant information to the staff.
- Participate in the development and implementation of district and building technology plans.
- Other duties as assigned by the Administration.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- 60 college credit hours and qualifications for a substitute certificate.
- Experience with educational applications and related instructional technology.
- Experience with young people.
- Prior experience in a school setting is desired.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
- Must have the ability to communicate and interact effectively.
- Ability to present information in a group setting.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule form.
- Ability to solve problems and effectively manage time for efficient operations.
- Ability to concentrate, think, read and learn is necessary to perform the essential job duties.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Have the ability to operate and maintain a variety of technological equipment.
- Knowledge of district policies, regulations, and acceptable use policy (AUP).
- Ability to learn new software and related programs as implemented.
- Demonstrate organizational ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to provide assistance to the school community as necessary.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent human relation skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly sit, talk, listen, and respond. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, precise hand-eye coordination and the ability to identify and distinguish colors. Occasionally, the employee may lift up to 50 pounds, such as, to lift files, papers, and equipment. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually at a moderate level with frequent interruptions. The employee continuously interacts with staff and the public.
