JOB SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Additional duties may be assigned.
- Knowledge of the rules, techniques, and strategies of lacrosse
- Knowledge of first aid, and care of injuries is a must
- Assist in the development of playbooks, play sheets, and practice plans
- Make lacrosse a priority from beginning of season to the end
- Prepare for each practice to maximize the limited time we have with our athletes
- Prepare for contests by scout opponents and developing strategies for competition
- Check out equipment and get it returned at season’s end
- Continue professional growth by attending clinics and being active in coaches organizations
- Work summer camps and conditioning sessions
- Be involved in the academic progress of their athletes
- Assist the Head Coach with her ideas, by attending coaching meetings and planning sessions
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Must hold a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
- Must have the ability to communicate and interact effectively.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly sit, talk, listen, and respond. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, precise hand-eye coordination and the ability to identify and distinguish colors. Occasionally, the employee may lift up to 50 pounds, such as, to lift files, papers, and equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually at a moderate level with frequent interruptions. The employee continuously interacts with staff and the public.
